Bird Nests

Bird Nests is a visual research project exploring how certain birds construct intricate nests using natural fibers. Through gathering, twisting, looping, and layering materials,  birds engage in a form of making that closely echoes human techniques of weaving and construction. This research looks into non-human techniques and instinctive gestures that transcend species.
